Who it’s for

  • Students preparing for school tests, mid-terms and final exams, Grades 6 to 12
  • Matric (SSC) and FSc (HSSC) board exam candidates
  • Cambridge O Level, IGCSE and A Level candidates
  • Students resitting a paper

Before you start

  • The exam board, the subject and paper codes if you know them, and the exam date.
  • Ideally, a recent test or mock result, so the tutor can see where marks were lost.

Problems we help with

  • Too much syllabus and not enough time before the exam
  • Knowing the topic but losing marks on how the answer is written
  • Running out of time in the exam
  • Not knowing which topics to revise first

No grade guarantees

We help students prepare well, but we never promise a grade or result. Exams are the student's own work, sat under the board's rules.

Topics covered

  • Planning

    • Mapping the syllabus and marking what is secure, shaky or new
    • A week-by-week revision plan up to the exam date
    • Choosing which topics to revise first
  • Practice

    • Past and sample papers from your board, worked through with the tutor
    • Timed practice under exam conditions
    • Repeated practice on the question types where marks are lost
  • Exam technique

    • Reading command words: state, explain, describe, calculate
    • Answer structure using published mark schemes
    • Showing working in numericals so method marks are not lost
    • Managing time across the paper and checking answers

How lessons work

  1. Diagnose first

In the free 30-minute class the tutor looks at recent work or a short set of questions to find where marks are being lost.

  2. Plan backwards from the exam date

The revision plan fits the time that is left, and the tutor adjusts it as topics become secure.

  3. Practise on real paper formats

Most of the time goes into answering exam-style questions, then reviewing them against the mark scheme together.

What you’ll be able to do

  • A revision plan the student can follow up to the exam
  • Familiarity with the paper's format, question types and timing
  • Answers structured the way mark schemes reward
  • A clear list of the topics that still need work

These are the aims of the lessons. Progress depends on the student’s starting point and practice, and we never promise grades or results.
