How lessons work

  1. Start from where the student is

The free 30-minute first class lets the tutor see what the student already knows and where to begin.

  2. Follow the student's own syllabus

Lessons use the student's textbook, board or curriculum and their school's order of topics, so tuition supports classwork instead of competing with it.

  3. Explain, then practise

The tutor explains an idea, works an example, and then the student solves questions while the tutor watches and corrects.

  4. Questions are welcome

One-to-one means the student can stop the tutor at any point and ask, without waiting for a class to move on.

What you’ll be able to do

  • Understand the ideas behind the methods, not only the steps
  • Solve syllabus questions independently, with clear working
  • Know which topics are secure and which need more practice
  • Write answers in the structure their exams and teachers expect

These are the aims of the lessons. Progress depends on the student’s starting point and practice, and we never promise grades or results.
