How lessons work

  1. Start from the student's level

In the free 30-minute first class the tutor hears the student read and looks at their writing, and decides where to begin.

  2. Follow the student's own textbook

Lessons follow the student's board textbook and its order of lessons and poems, so tuition supports classwork.

  3. Meaning first, then the answer

The tutor explains what a passage or verse means, then the student writes the explanation in their own words and the tutor corrects it.

  4. Questions are welcome

One-to-one means the student can stop the tutor at any point and ask, without waiting for a class to move on.

What you’ll be able to do

  • Use Urdu grammar correctly and name its parts
  • Explain prose passages and verses in their own words
  • Write organised essays, letters and applications
  • Write answers in the format board examiners expect
  • Know which lessons are secure and which need more practice

These are the aims of the lessons. Progress depends on the student’s starting point and practice, and we never promise grades or results.
